Apple changed a lot under the hood for iOS6 and I don’t have any devices to test with on 4.3 anymore.

If you however upgrade your iOS to 5 or 6 it will work. To update, please connect the USB cable to your computer. Make sure iTunes backs up your mobile device, then it should ask if you want to update the iOS.
